Pine Valley Community Village is a publicly-owned 80 bed skilled nursing facility. This community is located among some of the most picturesque views that Richland County has to offer. Conveniently located at the edge of town, yet close enough to access all shopping and services the city offers.
Therapy is available in a state- of- the- art therapy gym by skilled therapists with 34 years of practice experience treating adults and seniors. Among them, this highly skilled therapy staff holds 35 different specialty certifications to enhance individualized treatment. Many individuals choose to receive therapy on an outpatient basis. Over 89% of residents admitted for a course of rehabilitative therapy return home and achieve outcomes that exceed the national average. The skilled staff have at their disposal, some of the best equipment that is specifically designed to treat issues such as: Carpel Tunnel, fall prevention, pre and postop total knee arthroplasty, peripheral neuropathy, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, urinary incontinence, wounds and stroke recovery.
Wound Care Management
We have staff certified in wound care management. Our staff provides a broad range of expertise in this area including wound vacs.
Referrals for admission to the facility start by gathering some basic information which will assist the staff to better determine what type of care the individual may need. Admission referrals are received in several ways: from the hospital, from the doctor, or directly from the individual or family. The Social Service Department works with the Nursing Department and physician to coordinate admissions. You may contact the Social Service Department for more information.
There are many opportunities for careers or volunteering at Pine Valley Community Village. There are many different departments which offer a variety of potential employment options, such as dietary, nursing, housekeeping, bookkeeping, maintenance, activities, social services, therapy, human resources, etc.
Volunteers enrich the lives of our residents and in return, receive much joy. We invite 4-H groups, church groups, schools, individuals, and other organizations to consider volunteering to enrich the lives of our seniors. A volunteer recognition banquet is held annually to recognize our volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Mallory Winchel in the Activities Department.
